You might know Rachel Brathen aka Yoga Girl for coining the hashtag #yogaeverydamnday and the beautiful pictures on her hugely popular Instagram account (1,8 mio followers!). She also published a book, which recently came out in German as well. As you can imagine, this is NOT a cookbook in the traditional sense. This is a wellness book, with a few recipes strewn in, comparable to Tara Stiles book I reviewed earlier last year. To find out what I thought about the book and Rachel’s delicious vegan Bounty Bars, continue reading!

Food Intolerances: Learning how to cope with them

Have you been diagnosed with food intolerances? Do you feel overwhelmed? I have 5 steps that will help you to cope with food intolerances!

How to Cope with Food Intolerances | curlsnchard.com

I’ve always had issues with certain kind of food. The times I felt sick, bloated, or plain dizzy after a meal are too many times that I can even count. At a point, my stomach problems got so bad that I had to go to the hospital, but honestly, they couldn’t find anything and didn’t think it had anything to do with food. It wasn’t until quite a bit later that a doctor suggested, it might be dairy that was causing all the problems and that I should avoid it. They did a lactose intolerance test and it was negative. It was a frustrating experience, as some people said that it was just in my head and that I just needed to eat „normal“ and my body would be fine. Sure enough, that wasn’t the case. I did cut out dairy, which was still at a time where it was super hard to find even soy milk and when the first rice milk tasted like absolute cardboard. But guess what, my problems were bad enough that I stuck with it, and I did start to feel much better. It was dairy after all, even though not the lactose part.

I’m still here!

I know I’ve been a bit MIA here the last two weeks and I just wanted to write this post as a little update. I’m currently spending every waking hour at university, so my creative juices are quite zapped and I don’t spend all that much time on my laptop once I get back home in the evening… (more…)

A traveling blogger package – Blogger Wanderpaket with packlink.de

A traveling blogger package is making the rounds, initiated by Packlink. See what I got in my Wanderpaket!

Packlink.de Wanderpaket - A traveling blogger package | curlsnchard.com

I recently got the really fun opportunity to work with Packlink on a blogger traveling package – in German a “Wanderpaket”. The basic concept was 6 bloggers, 1 package. We as bloggers have to guess who sent us the package and then fill it up again with products that represent us, but also will be enjoyed by the recipient. Pretty amazing, right? I loved it. Who doesn’t love getting packages? That’s why I was super happy when the guy from dpd rang my bell when I was actually still at home. What a lucky coincidence! Usually I miss him. 😉
